The Grantham E Condominium Association, Inc. welcomes you to our 55+ active community at the heart of Century Village East (CVE) in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Grantham E is a senior condominium community where quality of life and longevity live in harmony. This site is for the benefit of our owners and residents alike, to facilitate information sharing, to promote communication and to enhance community life.

Of interest, the name Grantham, like all other districts in Century Village East, is of Saxon origin. It originates from an old town, in the county of Lincolnshire, east-central England. Grantham was recognized in the Domesday Book in 1086 with a recorded population of 183 households. Its royal charter of incorporation was granted in 1463.

The Grantham E Condominium Association Inc. was incorporated on Wednesday September 29th, 1976. On the same day, the developer Century Village East Inc. designated three employees of the company to act as Directors of our newly formed Association.

Two and a half years later, on March 27, 1979, following an election among five owners, the owners at Grantham E elected three of them to form our first official in-house Board of Directors. They were:

• Walter Leonard Schiffman, President, unit 271;
• Julius Antin, Vice-president, unit 165; and
• Elsie Moskowitz, Secretary & Treasurer, unit 258.
